OK - so, Tuesday was recuperation day. We hung out in the hotel most of the day just relaxing and taking it easy. Later that afternoon - Ramiah and Uma came over to pay us a visit and then we all went out to a local department store. I bought a Salwa outfit for Sam (very cute) and Uma had something to return. The newlyweds had a train to catch that evening - so they took us back to hotel after that.
Wednesday - one of our new friends from the wedding (Mathangi) - met us at the hotel for a day of shopping. Our driver from Indian Panorama (Ram) provided us with transportation. Mathangi took us to several shops looking for different things. We stopped for a late lunch around 4pm at a Pizzeria called Tuscana that was really good. We hit a few more shops and ended the day at a spa and salon near Mathangi's apartment where mom and I got a pedicure, manicure and full body massage for the equivalent of about $45 US total. What a steal!!! And what a way to end the day!!!!
Tomorrow - Ramiah and Uma are supposed to pick us up in the morning to go over to Ramiah's father's home here in Chennai. Our driver will pick us up around 7pm for dinner and then off to the airport to head home.
It's hard to believe this journey is coming to close but what a great trip! We will never forget beautiful India!!

She's been to many more international destinations. But neither of us has ever been to India. Then, I heard that a friend of mine was getting married in a village in South India and he extended an invitation for us to come to the wedding. We couldn't resist! Not only were we going to see a whole new part of the world, but I would get to meet people that live there and share a special moment in their lives. This was too good to be true.
